Sara Montanez

Bio:

I am passionate about empowering youth and families through education, community engagement, and advocacy. With a strong background in extended learning programs, youth development, and family support services, I have dedicated my career to creating opportunities that foster growth and success.

I have experience in grant writing, staff recruitment, and program evaluation, ensuring that initiatives are impactful and accessible to those who need them most. Collaboration is at the heart of my work. I thrive on building relationships with community partners, educators, and families to drive meaningful change.

My passion is deepening my understanding of social systems and their impact on the communities I serve. My work is fueled by a commitment to equity, inclusion, and resilience. I love writing music, uplifting others and a good laugh!

Most meaningful part of working for EPIC:

Supporting parents and caregivers as they navigate their journeys. Seeing families gain confidence, build stronger connections, and access the resources they need makes my work truly fulfilling.


Personal Mantra:

"Nana korobi ya oki" (七転び八起き) "Fall down seven times, stand up eight."
No matter the obstacles, I believe in rising stronger, learning from challenges, and moving forward with purpose.
