FAMILY PROGRAMING ASSISTANT (INTERN)

(PART-TIME, TEMPORARY)

Lockport


About the available position:

EPIC - Every Person Influences Children is seeking a Temporary, Part-time Family Programming Assistant for their Lockport Family Opportunity Center. This position is 10-weeks and will begin in June and end in August. This position is for 25 hours per week and is responsible for assisting with a variety of the center’s administrative duties, along with assisting the Program Coordinator with the implementation of center activities and events. The position will also assist in community engagement and outreach opportunities to further expand knowledge of the center’s resources to Eastern-Niagara residents. The student chosen for this position will receive hands on experience working with children and families while impacting the community through strengthening caregiver bonds, family engagement and enhancing child development through play.

 

This Workership program is generously funded by the Grigg Lewis Foundation.

Candidacy is limited to currently enrolled college students either attending or residing in Eastern Niagara County.


Candidates Requirements:

  • Must be a college student currently enrolled in a Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or other helping profession degree and:

       1.     attend college at Niagara Community College or Niagara University

 OR

       2.     reside in Eastern Niagara County which includes the townships of: Lockport, Newfane, Gasport, Sanborn, Cambria,                       Wilson, Ransomville, Wheatfield, Royalton, Hartland, Barker, Pendleton, Middleport and Somerset.

  • Prior experience engaging with children and families is a plus.
  • Willingness to work with diverse families and utilize a strengths-based approach.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Comfortable speaking to groups.
  • Available on a flexible schedule (evenings and Saturdays)
  • Must have reliable transportation and consent to a background check.


Summary

  • Job Type:             Part-time/Temporary, hourly, non-exempt
  • Job Length:          250 hrs (10 weeks, 25 hours per week)
  • Start Date:           Between June 1 and June 15
  • Schedule:             Mainly weekdays, Monday-Friday (some evenings and Saturdays)
  • Location:              Lockport, NY
  • Salary:                  $15.50 per hour

DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT AND FUNDRAISING

Buffalo and Western New York


About the available position: 

EPIC - Every Person Influences Children is seeking a full-time (40 hrs/wk) Director of Development and Fundraising to work primarily at their Buffalo headquarters, while supporting development and marketing in 4 counties: Cattaraugus, Erie, Niagara and Sullivan. This key leadership role requires a creative, innovative thinker who can develop and execute outside-the-box strategies to meet fundraising and strategic goals. This key role will drive donor relations, cultivate major gifts, lead annual appeals and campaigns, and secure sponsorships to support our mission of preventing child abuse and neglect and supporting literacy and child development. The DDF will research and secure funding opportunities, oversee grant writing and reporting, and manage sponsorship proposals. Additionally, they will oversee EPIC’s marketing and public relations, ensuring a strong and consistent brand presence through media relations, marketing materials, and external communications. This position also involves managing volunteers and interns as appropriate and works with an administrative position that supports customer relationship database (Salesforce) functions, including data entry, managing donors, campaigns, opportunities, acknowledgements and other development related data functions.


Position Summary:

  • Job Type: Full-time, salary, exempt
  • Schedule: Mainly weekdays, including some evenings and weekends
  • Location: EPIC Headquarters, this position requires occasional and/or consistent travel, particularly to other WNY Counties– reliable transportation required. Potential infrequent travel to other areas of NY State and beyond, possibly by air. 
  • Salary Range: $60,000-$85,000

FAMILY ENGAGEMENT SUPPORT SPECIALIST

(FULL-TIME TEMPORARY)

About the available position:

EPIC - Every Person Influences Children is seeking a full-time/temporary (40 hrs/wk) Family Engagement Support Specialist. This human services position will be responsible for temporarily assisting the Director of Family Services with the appropriate implementation of non-mandated parenting, family engagement, and professional development contracts in partnership with the Salamanca City Central School District. The position will act as a family liaison to the school district, support district initiatives, develop a network of resources, and report on goals and outcomes.


Position Summary:

  • Job Type:  Full-time/temporary, hourly, non-exempt
  • Duration:  Minimum 90 days
  • Schedule:  Mainly weekdays, including some evenings and occasional weekends. Occasional travel to Buffalo (mileage reimbursement)
  • Location:  Salamanca Central School Administrative Building
  • Salary Range:  $21.00 - $22.81 per hour
  • Benefits:  Paid Sick Leave (PSL)
