Bio:

I am the co-creator of my son and a lifelong Pokémon fan! I currently reside right across the Peace Bridge in Fort Erie, Ontario. However, I was born and raised in Lackawanna and have loving ties to its Muslim community. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of serving in many different capacities in WNY - many of them in education. Teaching assistant, summer camp, classroom teacher, teaching coach... you name it and I've probably been it! I'm currently pursuing graduate studies with my focus being Youth Work and Religious Leadership.

My Favorite Children's Book:

The Stinky Cheese Man by Jon Scieszka

The most meaningful part of working at EPIC is:

Knowing that I'm not only led by great people, but that I am empowered to lead others. Every day ends with someone benefiting from my efforts, even if that benefit is something as small as a sigh of relief.

Personal Mantra:

"True wealth is sufficiency in the soul" - Khatam al-Nabiyyin
