Bio:
I have worked and volunteered in non-profit community organizations in Buffalo, NY, and Binghamton, NY for the last decade. My experience includes after-school program supervision, youth program facilitation, social-emotional learning instruction, youth mentorship, and most recently, community organizing for racial justice and youth justice initiatives. I enjoy seeing my favorite music artists in concert and caring for my rescue dog, Nola!
My Favorite Children's Book:
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault
The most meaningful part of working at EPIC is:
Working with a dedicated team to share life skills, tools, and resources with children and families in our community needing support.
Personal Mantra:
“Hope is a discipline” – Mariame Kaba
“Beloved community is formed not by the eradication of difference but by its affirmation, by each of us claiming the identities and cultural legacies that shape who we are and how we live in the world.” - Bell Hooks
